Faculty of Engineering Fall Term 2020
Engineering offers seven accredited undergraduate programs. All programs will deliver the normally scheduled curriculum online for Fall 2020.
We are committed to providing high-quality engaged learning experiences online. Our faculty members are developing new ways to provide learning experiences, design activities and group interaction using the tools and advantages of the online environment.
Some of the core attributes of engineers are to be problem solvers adapting to challenges and creating innovative solutions to achieve the necessary outcomes. The COVID-19 pandemic is challenging us engineers to apply those attributes both in practice and in education and to further instill those attributes in our students.
We believe that our experience with online program delivery in the summer and fall terms will create new interactive tools and knowledge that can be used to enrich our programs and student experiences going forward.
We are anxious to return to full on-campus operations but recognize we must act with an abundance of caution when it comes to the safety and well-being of students, faculty and staff. The current plan is to return to on-campus activity in January 2021; we will keep you updated as information becomes available.
We recognize that the student experience goes well beyond the classroom and structured learning environments. We are working to create a sense of community and engagement online through faculty sites, support services, student societies and groups.
