On Wednesday, October 30, The Faculty of Dentistry hosted its fourth annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. In total, 15 pumpkin creations were on display for more than 200 members of the Dalhousie campus community who stopped by to view and vote.

The Dental Lab took first prize for the most in-person votes, followed by Atlantic Dental Centre in second place and Custodial Services in third place. The winners all received delicious maple pumpkin cheesecakes.

Those who were unable to attend the festivities in person we able to vote for their favourite pumpkin on our Facebook page to determine the 2013 Grand Champion. The online votes were combined with the in-person scores and the Dental Lab came out victorious with a whopping 228 votes.

The Faculty of Dentistry would like to thank all of the alumni, departmental and student groups for participating, and to acknowledge the kind donations from the Atlantic Superstore (Barrington Street) and The Sweet Hereafter Cheesecakery.
