Bio:
I am an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science from Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS, Canada. I have a PhD and an MSc in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from the University of Sao Paulo in Sao Carlos, SP, Brazil; part of my PhD studies took place at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, USA. After completing my PhD studies, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Big Data Analytics at Dalhousie University, funded by the Ocean Frontier Institute, and co-hosted at IMT Atlantique through ISBlue in Brest, France. My research interests focus on spatio-temporal analytics, time-series forecasting, and complex network mining, with deep involvement in Data Science & Engineering and GeoInformatics.
