MEET OUR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT AMBASSADORS
Seif Elbayomi (He/Him)
- Where are you from? Cairo, Egypt.
- What degree are you taking? Bachelor of Computer Science.
- What are you interested in outside of class? Outside of class, I love watching and cheering for the AlAhly Cairo Soccer team.
- What do you enjoy the most about being a student ambassador? The thing I value the most about being a Career Development and Industry Engagement student ambassador is the chance to guide students in their career paths and foster industry connections with the faculty. This way, we can better bridge the gap between the school and the professional world.
Fariha Rabita (She/Her)
- Where are you from? Dhaka, Bangladesh.
- What degree are you taking? Bachelor of Computer Science.
- What are you interested in outside of class? My hobby is content creation and digital marketing, I love capturing beautiful moments to share. I also love working for the community and want to make an impact.
- What do you enjoy the most about being a student ambassador? The thing that I enjoy the most being a student ambassador is being able to represent the faculty and convey all that Dal FCS has to offer to students. I think its a great opportunity for me to make the CS community stronger.
Bhavya Kapoor (She/Her)
- Where are you from? India, Dubai, and Muscat.
- What degree are you taking? Bachelor of Computer Science.
- What are you interested in outside of class? If you don't see me volunteering, you'd find me immersing myself in the tranquility of my surroundings and exploring unique eateries!
- What do you enjoy the most about being a student ambassador? Being a Student Ambassador is all about championing diversity and empowerment in computing. It's incredibly rewarding to support and celebrate young talents, especially those who self-identify as women, genderqueer, or non-binary, and help them thrive in the tech world.
Rawan Morshed (She/Her)
- Where are you from? Cairo, Egypt.
- What degree are you taking? Bachelor of Computer Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
- What are you interested in outside of class? I'm a very artistic person. I like adding a touch of creativity into my surroundings, whether it's decorating my living space or crafting intricate 3D models using beads and clay.
- What do you enjoy the most about being a student ambassador? What I enjoy most about being a student ambassador is the opportunity to inspire others. Sharing my own experiences and insights, I can see the excitement in people's eyes as they begin to imagine themselves pursuing a career in the tech industry, even if it wasn't initially part of their plan.
Dave Chuck (He/Him)
- Where are you from? Kingston, Jamaica.
- What degree are you taking? Bachelor of Computer Science.
- What are you interested in outside of class? I enjoy playing pickleball, hanging with friends, and going out. I'm also a massive foodie!
- What do you enjoy the most about being a student ambassador? I enjoy being an ambassador because I get to share my experiences and help new students adjust to the university life.

Sigma Jahan (She/Her)
- Where are you from? Bangladesh.
- What degree are you taking? PhD in Computer Science.
- What are you interested in outside of class? I enjoy hitting the road whenever I can. Road trips and long drives are also on my list of favorite activities. I also like to spend time with my friends watching movies and TV series.
- What do you enjoy the most about being a student ambassador? I take great pleasure in being a part of our faculty, not only as a student but also as a representative. I thoroughly enjoy assisting prospective students, showing them the incredible aspects of our faculty, which continually reminds me of the privilege of being here.
Sami Bashir (He/Him)
- Where are you from? Lahore, Pakistan.
- What degree are you taking? Master of Digital Innovation Program with a certificate in Digital Business.
- What are you interested in outside of class? Outside the classroom, I love going to live music shows when I can. I find them to be very calming and a great way to unwind.
- What do you enjoy the most about being a student ambassador? My favorite part of being a student ambassador is the conversations I have with students, both current and future. If I can give them a sliver of helpful advice, then I feel like I’ve done my part.
