Digital is everywhere, helping us address challenges across industries and disciplines.
Join us as we drive our province, our programs and our institution forward.
It's at the centre of everything we do
Improving research and innovation across sectors and industries from agriculture and oceans to healthcare, medicine and the arts.
It is also the key to a more prosperous future for our province, our region and beyond.
Computer science leads to jobs for the next generation and is a pipeline for diverse talent who contribute to a thriving digital economy that can benefit everyone more equitably, across communities, backgrounds, and sectors.
Here We Code unites businesses, industries, students, and residents of Nova Scotia to take advantage the opportunities in digital as we grow, together.
We are already Atlantic Canada’s largest centre for technology education and research, but this movement will help us attract new talent. Over the next five years, we will grow overall enrolment to 2,500 students, with over 400 Computer Science undergraduates graduating per year, in addition to research and professional Masters students, many of whom will be looking for employment in our province and region.
We currently employ 50 faculty and research experts, including five Canada Research Chairs. Here We Code will help us add 50 more faculty and researchers over the next five years, including more research chairs in key interdisciplinary areas of focus such as Agriculture, Management and Health.
We want to inspire action.
Whether that’s becoming a computer science student, upskilling to develop your career, researching new technologies, or driving your business through digital innovation, there is a place for you in this field and we want you to be a part of it. Because, Here We Code.
