Shannon Brownlee teaches film studies in the Fountain School of Performing Arts. She
completed her PhD at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in the History
of Consciousness Department. Prior to this, she received her MA in Film Studies
from York University, and her BA in English and Contemporary Studies from the
University of King's College.
Her research interests include: animated film, film theory; experimental film; queer and feminist cinemas and theories; and psychoanalytic theory.
