Research & creative activity

Dean Bradshaw is a professional musician who wears many hats including accompanist, piano teacher, church organist, choir director, composer, and university instructor.  He has worked with the National Ballet of Canada, the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts.  In recent years he has composed and recorded his own ballet music through an ongoing commission from the Atlantic Dance Teachers Association.

Teaching

• Since joining Dalhousie in 1996, he has taught ear training, keyboard harmony, and foundation theory, as well as accompanied the Dal Opera Workshop. He is also an accompanist for voice and instrumental students and he has peformed in the Chamber Series and other music productions, both as accompanist as a chamber musician.
