Our Facilities
Check out a virtual tour of our spaces.
The Fountain School of Performing Arts offers the Halifax arts community rental opportunities of its theatre, practice and workshops spaces. We have a dedicated music concert hall and two well-equipped performance spaces that are used for stage productions. Our spaces are housed in both the Dalhousie Arts Centre, 6101 University Avenue, and our new Fountain School building at 1385 Seymour St. here in Halifax.
Our school is a training institution, and its spaces are staffed with our technical theatre students under the supervision of the Technical Coordinator and staff of the Fountain School.
During our academic year, September to April, the Sir James Dunn Theatre and the David Mack. Murray Studio are not available for rental due to Fountain School performances and classes. The Joseph Strug Concert Hall has very limited availability for the same reason.
Contact Riley Valotaire, our Technical Coordinator for availability.
Please note:
Rental agreements are only confirmed once a clear definition time, equipment, staff, rehearsal, performance, sound, lighting, and scenic requirements have been established, and a signed contract and retainer has been received.
