Isaac MacLean 2024 David Alexander Prize

The winner of the year David Alexander Prize for the best essay on the history of Atlantic Canada by an undergraduate student is Isaac MacLean. Issac MacLean's essay, entitled The Development of Land-Based Racism through Capitalist Desire: An Assessment of Black Communities in the Atlantic Maritimes, 1782-1900 was written for Dr. Michael Bjorge's seminar on the history of race and immigration in Canada at Dalhousie University.
