Lyn Bennett

Remarks

When she's not busy teaching, Lyn Bennett spends her time doing research on rhetoric and early modern writing. In addition to numerous articles and book chapters, she has published two monographs on rhetoric and women’s writing, most recently her SSHRC-funded Rhetoric, Medicine, and the Woman Writer, 1600-1700 (Cambridge UP, 2018). Her work also appears in publications as diverse as Genre, Christianity and Literature, and the Journal of Medical Humanities. As Co-Investigator with Dr. Edith Snook of the University of New Brunswick, and with the support of a SSHRC Insight Development Grant, she is currently working on Early Modern Maritime Recipes, a database of recipes and medical remedies.
