From family connections to lifelong friendships, the Faculty of Agriculture’s Barley Ring feels like home for many students and alumni, the latest group of whom were honoured April 5th at the 2024 Barley Party.
In collaboration with Canadian pet nutraceutical company Adored Beast Apothecary in Moncton, NB, Dr. Vasantha Rupasinghe, professor, Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture, is developing a manufacturing process for pet nutraceutical products to help manage cancers of dogs.

Dr. Derek Lynch was honoured with the award of Outstanding Leadership in Organic Science. Derek is a professor of Agronomy and Agroecology at Dalhousie University, Faculty of Agriculture teaching soil science, organic field crop management and urban agriculture.
