Email healthac@dal.ca to request a test kit through a no contact process.

Criteria:

  1. If student, staff or faculty are directed to pick up a Self test kit / rapid test through the online assessment link https://covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/ they can have easy local access by emailing Health Services( Monday – Friday).

If they are assessed to have a PCR test they must book that through the online process attached to the assessment link.

  1. If  student, staff or faculty are informed they were exposed they need to follow the NS Health direction https://www.nshealth.ca/coronavirus and can pick up test kits by emailing Health Services

Additionally:

  1. If students / staff / faculty are  individuals who fit the criteria as most at risk for severe disease can access tests . The following people, particularly if unvaccinated or vaccinated but not boosted, are at increased risk of severe disease( this list may evolve):
  • Older adults (increasing risk with each decade, especially over 60 years)
  • Any age and living with:
    • lung disease

Let me know if this is something you think could be communicated to our campus through your avenues. We will have access to test kits until the end of July.

For the immediate three months (90 days) after you are considered recovered, COVID-19 testing is typically not recommended. If you develop symptoms in these three months, self-isolate until symptoms have improved (with no fever for at least 24 hours)

If you recovered from COVID-19 more than three months (90 days) ago, follow the instructions above  based on whether there is a case in your household, you were exposed outside of your household, or you do not know if you were exposed.
