Craig Newcombe and Geneve Gardner, Class of ’86
Craig Newcombe and Geneve Gardner, both of Class of ’86, were in the same class at NSAC and Geneve used to lifeguard with his roommate Graham Kempton, Class of ‘87.
In their third year both had enrolled in the Farm Management course that Professor John Tait taught, which involved a major project. They decided to partner for that project and so began a lifelong friendship and love.
Craig and Geneve were married on April 9, 1988 and had their wedding reception in Jenkins Hall.
Their best love advice? “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”
Favorite spot on campus? “In those days we spent most of our time at the Boulden Building as 90 per cent of our classes were there and it also used to host the odd big pub.”
Craig and Geneve work on the family farm – Cornwallis Farms and enjoy being advocates for agriculture. Geneve is also currently a director on the Agriculture Alumni Board at Dal AC.
