Daryl Hayes retired earlier this year as a professor at the Faculty of Agriculture.
Daryl began teaching in New Brunswick, at the young age of 19 years old, many years before computers or tech education existed. He later graduated with his Master's degree from New York State University. Sharing his knowledge with young people was his passion and for that reason he continued to work in his field many years after the traditional retirement age.
It is a difficult time to plan any formal celebrations as a campus community, so a family celebration only will take place this Sunday, August 2nd. Any messages or letters from colleagues would be very much appreciated.
