Position: Part-Time Academic – Winter 2019 – PHYS 1003 – Physics II
Department: Department of Engineering
Pay Rate: In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
Work Assignment: This Part-Time Academic will teach PHYS 1003, Physics II for the period of the Winter 2019 semester (Jan – Apr. 2019). The class is currently scheduled for lectures, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:35am-9:25am and labs, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 11:35-14:25. The selected applicant will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the lectures and necessary tutorials, test preparation and evaluation. The selected applicant will not be responsible for lab preparation or instruction but will be responsible for the overall supervision and development of the course. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
Requirements: MSc in related field (PhD preferred); Teaching experience in Physics; Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and excellent interpersonal skills with students and Faculty.
