Part-time Academics

Position: Part-time Academics -Winter 2018
Department: Plant, Food, and Environmental Sciences
Pay Rate: In accordance with the CUPE collective agreement
Work Assignment: This Part-time Academic will teach Lectures for LARC 2001 History of Landscape Architecture for the period of January- April 2018. The class is currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays (2:35-3:55pm) – Lectures. The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, field tours, test preparation and evaluation. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
At least one year Professional experiencea and/or in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution. Excellent oral, written communication skills, Collegiality and interpersonal skills. A minimum of Masters in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Horticulutre or related fields required.

Work Assignment: This Part-time Academic will teach Lectures for LARC 2001 History of Landscape Architecture for Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, China using Distance and blended learning modes for the period of February – June 2018. The class is generally taught either early in the mornings or late in the evenings due to time difference. The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, field tours, test preparation and evaluation. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
At least one year experience in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution. Excellent oral, written communication skills, Collegiality and interpersonal skills. A minimum of Masters in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Horticulutre or related fields required.

The class is currently scheduled for Lectures on Wednesdays (08:35-11:25am) and Labs on Mondays (02:35-4:25pm). The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, labs, field tours, test preparation and evaluation. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
At least one year Professional experience or in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution. Excellent oral, written communication skills, Collegiality and interpersonal skills. A minimum of Masters in Landscape Architecture (MLA) or related fields required.
