The Faculty of Agriculture is hosting Dr. Zaheer Ahmed from University of Faisalabad (UAF) in Pakistan to visit the campus prior to the arrival of the first cohort of students studying plant science in the 2+2 articulation agreement with UAF this September 2017.
Dr. Ahmed received his PhD from the University of Guelph in the field of Molecular and Cellular Biology. Dr. Ahmed’s research is focused on understanding the molecular and biochemical mechanisms of starch biosynthesis pathway for producing desired starch phenotype in planta.
His presentation "Establishing Global Partnerships - UAF Pakistan" will discuss collaborative research and academic opportunities and will occur in the Jenkins Lounge at 10am on Thursday, July 13th. All are welcome and refreshments will be served!
