Rams Weekend Recap

Cross Country

Women – The DAL AC Rams ran the ACAA Championships on Sunday in Brookvale PE.   The women’s team finished first in the team competition with 20 points beating MTA (37), MSVU (37), Crandall (56).

Finishing for the Rams were Danielle Albers 3rd (22:37),  Lily Forsythe 4th (22:56) , Cassidy Bradley 6th (23:52), Emily Sutherland 7th (23:56), Lindsay Cameron 14th (24:53), Shannon O’Connor 16th (25:48).

Albers (Bronze) and Forsythe were named All-Conference based on their 3rd and 4th place finishes.

Men -  The Rams top finisher was John Yool 13th (34:23) ; then Christopher Andrews 23rd (39:22)  and  Gary Chung 24th (39:33)

The women run 5 k and the men run 8 k.

Rams Coach Joy Galloway-Jones was named ACAA Cross Country Coach of the Year.

Congratulations to all and especially the women’s team for earning the ACAA Women’s Cross Country Championship Banner!

Rugby

The Rams travelled to UNB on Oct 23 to take on the UNB Varsity Reds.

Women 5th (5-7-0)   (1 point out of a play-off spot)

Men  6th  (1-9-2)

Volleyball

ACAA Tip-Off Tournament

DAL AC Rams finished their pool in 5th and lost their cross-over  match to UPEI

The Tip-Off event does not count in ACAA standings , but prepares teams for the league matches which start for the Rams on Nov 5th

Woodsmen

The first CILA competition of the year was held at UNB on Oct 22.  DAL AC Rams Men’s A finished in 1st and Women’s A finished 3rd

The Men’s B team finished 12th and the Women’s B team finished 8th.  A good start to the 2016-17 CILA Season!
