The People in Our Neighborhood: Julie Fowler
Where are you from?
Born in St John’s Newfoundland, grew up right here in Bible Hill
What do you do at Dal?
Food Service Director of Jenkins Hall, Retail Operations and catering
What are you looking forward to most this year?
I look forward to seeing all our returning students and meeting many new ones.
The most enjoyable part of our dining hall is creating a fun atmosphere where people want to come and hang out creating a meeting place on campus. We are starting some upgrades
We also are excited for another great year in featuring our very own Chef’s Garden delivering great produce to our students in all areas of our services grown right here on our own campus.
What is one piece of advice you would give students from your area of expertise on campus?
We are you ‘home away from home’. We want to make your dining experience an enjoyable one. If you have any questions or comments we have ‘an open door’ policy and hope that you will pop in any time to share your thoughts. All our staff are very approachable and we appreciate the feedback.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy camping with my family, spending many winter days at the rink watching my nephews play hockey, muddin’ in my Jeep and just spending quiet time with my husband and 5 year old black lab, Porter.
