To help celebrate Welcome Week 2016, The Faculty of Agriculture is profiling some of the people you will meet across the campus community in your travels on your new path at the Faculty of Agriculture.

The People in Our Neighborhood: Pat Jeffcock

Where are you from?
I come from a large family with three brothers and five sisters growing up in Halifax.

What do you do at Dal?
I have been the Manager of Dalhousie Agricultural Students’ Association for the past 15 years.  I provide administrative and financial support to the DASA Executive.  I am passionate about student life and help with activities such as Orientation, College Royal, Winter Carnival and Convocation.

What are you looking forward to most this year?
I am looking forward to meeting new students and excited to catch up with returning students.  The hardest part of all is saying goodbye to the students.

What is one piece of advice you would give students from your area of expertise on campus?
Time flies quickly, before you know it the year will be over, so make friends, get involved, there are plenty of clubs, events and committees available through DASA or just come and hang out in the DASA Lounge. Try a gym class, kick boxing, strength training or yoga.  Find your balance.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I like hiking with the Truro Trailblazers, I love music and I like hanging out with family and friends.
