The People in Our Neighborhood: Lean Unicomb
Where are you from?
I am from Cape Breton, NS. I attended SAERC high school and spent most of my younger years, between Port Hawkesbury and a little town called Mulgrave.
What do you do at Dal?
I am the Manager of Library Services at the MacRae. I make sure we are well staffed and that we are providing the best service we can offer. I have been working in libraries in the public school system for the past 16 years and began as the new Manager of Library Services at the MacRae Library on July 4.
What are you looking forward to most this year?
I am looking forward to working my first year on a university campus. I hear things are very busy and bustling with excitement.
What is one piece of advice you would give students from your area of expertise on campus?
One piece of advice I would give students is to make sure you manage your time efficiently. Give yourself lots of time for the research process. Use the library and it’s services. We are here to help you succeed and have a great learning experience.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy listening to music, yoga, fitness classes and socializing with friends.
