DAL AC ‘s Athletic Department hosted the 20th annual Classic at Northumberland Links (Pugwash) on Friday July 22. The weather was ideal and the course was in magnificent condition. Twenty-three teams participated and the host committee along with four additional volunteers ensured that event went off smoothly.
There were three hole-in-ones, 6 hole sponsors and four on course competitions. In addition , the golfers were treated to refreshments and snacks as they completed the 18 hole shot-gun start event.
The results page will provide the details of the contests and winners. It is important to note that of the twelve major and hole sponsors, eight were alumni driven or the sponsorship had alumni connections. Many of those alumni are also former varsity athletes for the RAMS! We do appreciate the continued support of “aggies” and “rams” for this event and all of our programs and student-athletes. The funds raised will assist with student bursaries and exhibition play for the Rams of 16-17.
There is such a wonderful atmosphere when the teams arrive to participate in the Classic! Alumni and industry partners have a special connection and as a result share and create great memories over the course of the day!
The 21st Agri-Golf Classic will be held July 28 2017 at Glasgow Hills Golf Club , PEI. Registration will open in April 2017. Potential accommodations include – The Gables of PEI, Fairways Cottages, Cavendish Country Inn and Cottages. The course is close to Cavendish , so there are many more accommodations available.
