An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm and can send an electric shock to the heart to try to restore a normal rhythm.
Two new AED’s have been placed in cabinets in Haley and Cox Institute.
Both cabinets are equipped with audible alarms to allow emergency detection quickly.
Please ensure that 911 is also called if this equipment is required.
