Academic Scheduling & Campus Bookings Update

Posted by Stephanie Rogers on October 9, 2015 in News

There will be a Campus Bookings drop in session on the Agricultural Campus on Wednesday October 14th from 9am-11am in Cox Institute room 017.  For more information on the session can be found here.

With the ongoing progress of the Modernizing Academic and Space Scheduling (MASS) project implementation, we want to advise you of changes in academic scheduling and campus bookings starting this fall. The information below provides key information about scheduling classes and booking rooms across Dalhousie campuses:

Academic Scheduling

·         October 2015: Academic departments will enter their academic timetable information to the Registrar’s Office online through a web portal called Timetable Assistant for the 2016/2017 academic year. Training on Timetable Assistant is available during this period. Visit dal.ca/mass for details.

·         October 2015 – March 2016: Some faculties will develop their 2016/2017 Academic Timetable using both room and time assignment. All faculties will use both room and time assignment for the 2017/2018 Academic Timetable.

Campus Bookings

·         October 8, 2015: All requests for general university (common pool) rooms/space will now be submitted online at Campus Bookings

·         October 2015 – March 2016: In a phased approach, departments with departmentally managed (locally managed) space will accept and manage their room booking requests online through a web portal called Campus Bookings for Room Administrators. Training will be available during this period.
