The purpose of this workshop is for the Dalhousie Judging Team to help 4-H members develop stronger judging skills as well as to introduce 4-Hers to intercollegiate judging competitions.
The workshop will focus on several projects, both livestock and life skills that all participants will have the opportunity to learn about and judge. The format for the workshop will consist of members from the Dalhousie Judging Team providing an overview of judging skills and reasons. Members will then be divided into groups for focused sessions on each class. After the tutorial, 4-H members will judge and give reasons to an official judge.
During the workshop a “mini” competition will take place, however, it is strictly for fun and learning purposes. To wrap-up the workshop official judges will provide official reasons.”
