On Tuesday, September 1, staff at the MacRae Library discovered mold on the basement level of the Library. It has affected some of the books located in the stacks and some of the antique farm tools.
Facilities Management, the Dalhousie Libraries and other units are working together to address the situation. While the testing of air quality and cleanup are being conducted, access to the basement level of the library will be restricted, and there will be no access to the collection for the remainder of the week. MacRae Library staff will be happy to obtain materials from other libraries through Novanet Express and Document Delivery during this time.
