As a colleague reports "in a short time he has had a significant impact on student learning in our math program through his innovative teaching style and dedication to student success.

Academically, students appreciate his humour and methods of teaching that facilitates them learning difficult math concepts.  As one student comments, "I have never enjoyed math until I met Jin" and "I am consdiering a minor in mathematics just so I can have him as a profesor again!"

Jin also recognizes the challenges of incoming students to university studies and therefore makes an effort to review high school math notes, which he borrows from his students, in order to ensure a smooth transition for students into a university math class.

One colleague reflects on his populairty and states "going to the cafeteria for lunch with Jin was like a homecoming with students all over the room welcoming him."

One student best summarized Dr. Yue's contribution to teaching by stating that "Dr. Yue is an awesome teacher and I would not trade him for the world!"
