The 4 main goals of this event are:

-To create public awareness of the agriculture industry and where their food comes from
-To encourage/offer resources to individuals looking to get into livestock farming for the first time or expand
-To provide a networking opportunity to established farmers
-Highlight the importance of preserving heritage breeds of livestock for future generations

There will be seminars running all day on caring for the various types of livestock as well as live animals on site the public can visit and ask more detailed questions to the breeders.  Living in a society that has lost touch with where there food really comes from this event offers a peek into how their food is produced.
