Sara Kirk, PhD, holds a Canada Research Chair in Health Services Research at Dalhousie University and a cross-appointment with the IWK Health Centre. Her research program uses a social-ecological approach to understand lifestyle factors influencing health status and health services utilization, particularly in relation to excessive weight gain (obesity).
This session will explore the role of the environment in promoting or preventing healthy behaviours and will provide practical solutions and support to overcome some of the common barriers to sustained behaviour change.
