Women’s Rugby
The DAL AC Rams captured the ACAA Rugby Championship on Sunday Nov 3. The Rams finished first in league play and met MTA in the League Final. Jessica Stickney starting the scoring for the Rams and added a second try in the second half to seal the win. Stephanie Wilson also had two trys while Emma Burry chipped in, scoring a convert on Stickney’s last try. MTA battled back in the second half and in the last 15 minutes of the match threatened to send the match into overtime. However the Rams defense was tremendous in stopping the Mounties on the goal line several times to save the win.

The 2013 Rugby Awards Banquet was held after the match where All-Conference and Coach, Rookie and Player of the Year were presented. Recognition for their outstanding season was given to DAL AC All-Conference Team members: Kathleen Sterritt, Jessika MacAskill, Becky Blank, Jessica Stickney, Whitney Shaver, Georgia Lewis and Joan Cole.

Woodsmen
The second CILA competition of the year was held this past weekend in Lindsay Ontario at Sir Sandford Fleming College. The Rams Men’s A team finished 4th, B Team 5th and Women’s A team finished 2nd while the B Team was 7th.
Women’s Volleyball
The Rams travelled to Universite Ste Anne on Saturday to meet the Dragons. The Rams won the first set, lost the second and then went on to win the next two sets to take the match 3-1. Sam Fanning was selected as Player of the Match for the Rams.
Basketball
Holland College Hurricanes were in town Saturday to meet the Rams in ACAA action. The Rams started slow in the women’s game, but came back in the second half to gain some ground. The final was 85-31 for the Canes. On the men’s side the game was exciting from start to finish but the powerful Canes ended with a 108-40 win.
Equestrian
The Rams hosted their first AIEL competition of the season at Galloway Stables in Port Howe. Starting the day with a 1st and 2nd in the first class, the Rams continued to show well in the remainder of the classes to capture the win for the second time this year.
