Course Selection and Academic Advising for Exchange Students

Posted by Mike Pauley on August 19, 2013 in News

In his role as  Academic Advisor and Coordinator, First Year Transitions, Brian Crouse has agreed to be the academic advisor for incoming exchange students. These students (e.g., Science Without Borders (SWB), Czech University of Life Sciences (CULS), etc) come to our Faculty to gain a North American perspective in their specific discipline or in related fields. They are unique because they are not here to fulfill the requirements of one of our program syllabi but to broaden their knowledge and be exposed to Canadian agricultural studies. Brian’s many years of academic advising of students on our campus means that he already has an extensive knowledge of many of our course offerings.

Brian will consult with faculty members and academic program advisors to ensure that course recommendations take into account the background preparation of the students as well as the course level/expectations of the instructors at our Faculty.
