MacDonald Red originated at Macdonald College and quickly became a traditional favourite that when cooked provides a rich pink colour dish that is rich in flavour and of excellent texture. It is a heavy cropper so just a couple of roots will provide you with a great yield. One or two MacDonald root will make an excellent addition to your rhubarb selection.
