Do you have your eye on New International Collaborations?
Brazil? Mexico? Ghana? Turkey?
With the intent that any international agreements we have are active and purposeful, it is increasingly important that MOUs with international partners be founded on the interest and collaborative intent of several faculty members or departments. When a MOU with a new international partner is proposed we are asked to complete a Notice of Intent, detailing the value of the proposed collaboration to the Faculty and/or the University. The Assistant Dean, International will help colleagues on this campus navigate this new process. Please contact Nancy Pitts (nancy.pitts@dal.ca ).
At present we have initial expressions of interest for collaborations in Brazil (Federal University of Santa Catrina; Instituto Federal de Educacao, Ciencia e technologia; Mexico (Instituto Politechnico Nacional), Ghana (University of Development Studies) and Turkey (Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Agriculture). If others at our Faculty are interested this will substantiate the basis for a Notice of Intent.
Please email Nancy Pitts (nancy.pitts@dal.ca) by May 6th communicating your interest.
For those who have already expressed interest, I will coordinate discussion groups as others self-identify an interest in these areas.
