Leanna Sparkes, Cross Creek, NB, a second year Veterinary Technology student (front row, on left) and Stephanie McLellan, Old Barns, NS, a second year Diploma in Business Management – Equine student (front row, on right), were selected as the 2012 recipients for the $500 Joseph E. Mapplebeck Memorial Bursaries.
The students are shown being congratulated by Mrs. Ramona Mapplebeck and Prof. Lloyd Mapplebeck, former Professor with the Plant & Animal Sciences Department. In honour of Joseph E. Mapplebeck, who farmed for 50 years in Kings County, NS, and in recognition of his appreciation for the importance of a good education, two $500 bursaries are presented.
