The Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture recognized its outstanding students at the annual Scholarship Banquet. Six students received $10,212 Atlantic Scholar Awards – which are renewable for three years. Dr. Harold Cook, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture & Principal, Dalhousie Agricultural Campus, is shown with the 2012 recipients – back row, Chelsea Parsons, St. John’s, NL, a 1st year B.Sc.(Agr.) Pre Vet student. Front row – Amy Unicomb, Truro, NS, a 1st year B.Sc.(Agr.) Animal Science student; Celia Groody, Saint John, NB, a 1st year B.Sc.(Agr.) Pre Vet student; and Yves Davison, Parrsboro, NS, a 1st year Engineering diploma student. Also receiving an Atlantic Scholar Award but absent at the time of photo was Cameron Arsenault, Summerside, PE, 1st year Engineering student; and Kamryn Findlay, Springhill, NS, a 1st year B.Sc.(Agr.) Pre Vet student. The Atlantic Scholars Awards are available to students entering a full-time program of study either directly from high school or with no advanced standing from other post-secondary study. The awards provides tuition and residence costs at the shared room rate.
