Jill Covill, representing the Covill Family, attended the Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture’s Scholarship Banquet to congratulate students receiving $2,000 Renée Covill Scholarships.
The 2012 recipients are (back row): Mannfred Boehm, Truro, NS, a fourth year B.Sc.(Agr.) Plant Science student; Edward MacDonell, Enfield, NS, a third year B.Sc.(Agr.) Plant Science student; and Jakob Vogel, Apple Hill, ON, a third year B.Sc.(Agr.) Animal Science student. Front row: Amanda Levy, Meadow Springs, NS, a fourth year B.Sc.(Agr.) Plant Science student; David Crawford, Dartmouth, NS, a second year Environmental Horticulture Technology student and Ms. Jill Covill. The scholarships are awarded to students who gave course and project work that reflect a commitment to environmental issues and career interests in growing plants (including farming). Selection criteria are academic performance, financial need and career plans.
