The International Food Business (IFB) Program

Earn 2 Degrees, from 2 Universities, on 2 Continents- All in 4 Years

 

 If you have a passion for international travel, are interested in business development, and care about global food issues then this program is for you. This applied international business program is a joint venture between Dalhousie University and Aeres University of Applied Sciences. As a result, students spend their second year studying abroad in the Netherlands which is followed by a European internship. Students then complete an additional internship in North America after their third year. Students gain real-world experience and begin to network internationally. In the fourth and final year, students build specializations from elective courses and write a year-long thesis. Upon graduation, students earn two degrees, a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from Aeres University and a Bachelor of Agriculture from Dalhousie University.

Our Partner- Aeres University of Applied Sciences

Dalhousie offers the IFB program in partnership with Aeres University of Applied Sciences of the Netherlands.  Aeres University has three campuses; Almere, Dronten, and Wageningen.  The IFB program is based out of the Dronten campus, located in the province of Flevoland; approximately one hour from Amsterdam.  Aeres University focuses on education and research that contributes to the development of future-oriented, innovative professionals- professionals who are capable of making responsible decisions in a complex world, with a natural talent for acting in a sustainable manner.
