Dr. Tasha Richard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business & Social Sciences at Dalhousie University, recognized for her impactful work in teaching, research, and service. An advocate for inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurship, Dr. Richard brings real-world insights to her classes, challenging students to think critically about social impact and diverse entrepreneurial pathways. Her research, focused on inclusive entrepreneurship, examines the barriers and opportunities facing women and marginalized groups, contributing valuable insights to both academia and industry. She is on the Canadian national team for the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), where she collaborates internationally to advance understanding of entrepreneurship ecosystems. At Dalhousie, Dr. Richard serves on the University Senate, two sub-committees of Senate and many university faculty, and department committees, championing equity, diversity, and student success. Her commitment to community impact is reflected in her partnerships with industry and local organizations, driving forward sustainable and inclusive practices in agribusiness and beyond.
