Mavis Jones

Mavis Jones currently works as the Senior Policy Analyst at OntarioMD, an Ontario government-funded subsidiary of the Ontario Medical Association which supports digital health optimization in community-based medical practices across the province. 

Mavis holds a Ph.D. (2007) in Politics from the University of East Anglia, UK, where she combined theories of the policy process and the public understanding of science to analyse trust in the open governance framework for biotechnology.  She held a CIHR Postdoctoral Fellowship from 2007-2009 with Janice Graham to conduct ethnographic research at Health Canada. After further post-doctoral work related to democratic engagement with science and technology assessment, she established a professional base in Toronto taking progressive roles in the not-for-profit health sector in policy, research and evaluation to support health system goals.
