A group of students and post-docs from Dalhousie University across different ocean-related disciplines, travelled to Brigadoon Village, South Alton, NS to participate in a retreat to promote interdisciplinary collaboration. This retreat was funded by CERC.OCEAN and included two of our PhD students.

From April 6 - 28, 2018, PhD student Ricardo Arruda participated in the MSM73 cruise from Cadiz, Spain to St. John's, Newfoundland, onboard the German vessel, the Maria S. Merian.

From January 20 to February 11 of 2018, PhD student Ricardo Arruda participated in a cruise onboard the German research ship, Poseidon, to study and track an upwelling patch of the west coast of Africa

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco will be on campus on May 8th to learn about ocean research at the Dal-lead Ocean Frontier Institute. This visit also includes a tour of the CERC.OCEAN lab and container bay along with a public roundtable discussion.
