With sponsorship from the Department of Information Science and Wikimedia Canada, Dalhousie Libraries is hosting a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon in the Ko’jua Okuom this Thursday, June 20 for Indigenous History Month!

An edit-a-thon is an event where editors and users edit and improve a specific topic or type of content. No experience? No problem! Stacy Allison-Cassin is providing instruction from 11:00 -11:45 a.m. and 1:30 - 2:15 p.m and all are welcome.

The focus of this edit-a-thon is Mi’kmaki and Mi’kmaw People and there will be a pre-selected range of biographies, books, and events to add.

Where: In the Ko'jua Okuom at the Killam Library (6225 University Avenue)
When: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Instruction: Stacy Allison-Cassin will have instruction sessions from 11:00 -11:45 a.m. and 1:30 - 2:15 p.m.

You are welcome to stay and participate the entire day or come and go as you are available.

Refreshments will be provided.

To participate, please make an account with Wikipedia in advance. Sign up for an account. Please bring your laptop. If you do not have a laptop we will have some available.
