EURAXESS North America is hosting a webinar on Pillar II of Horizon Europe. This info session will explain Pillar II, "Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness," focusing on the funding and collaboration opportunities offered by the EU’s framework program for research and innovation, and how Canadian and U.S. institutions/researchers can apply to open calls.

Horizon Europe is the world’s largest research and innovation funding program with a budget of C$140+ billion (2021-2027). As of December 5, 2023, Canadian researchers are considered “associate country participants” within Pillar II of Horizon Europe.

At this time, ISED is advising that researchers in Canada join consortia led by European partners, rather than lead projects from Canadian institutions.

Interested researchers are strongly encouraged to contact ird@dal.ca to begin discussing the application process.
