Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on January 15, 2024 in Research Funding

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has launched a new Agricultural Methane Reduction Challenge that will award up to $12 million to innovations that can reduce net enteric methane emissions. This funding opportunity may be of interest to students and faculty across a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to: Livestock Agriculture, Animal Science, Ruminant Nutrition, Environmental Science, Ecology Management and Genomics. The funds would be available to those advancing solutions in the cow-calf, dairy and feedlot sectors.

Solutions can be totally novel or build on an existing practice, for example by identifying and addressing barriers to the adoption of a practice on the part of farmer.

Applications will be accepted until February 7, 2024.
