Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on January 8, 2024 in Research Funding

Recently, Veterans Affairs Canada, Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC), the Canadian Forces Health Services and the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR) partnered to create the Joint Federal Research Funding Program for Military Personnel and Veterans. This research funding program aims to enhance the well-being of Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, and their families by supporting Canadian research focused on supporting these populations.

They are currently looking for researchers for a funding opportunity on the Operational colour vision requirements for RCAF pilots.

Researchers are invited to apply for a new grant funding opportunity sponsored by DRDC to translate the colour vision requirements that were obtained in a prior effort (the Operational Vision Requirements and Assessment – OVRA project) into clinical cut-off scores that can be used in an aeromedical clinic. This study will provide evidence-based recommendations for clinical colour vision criteria for RCAF aircrew. The due date for applications is January 19 2024 at 11:59 PM (PST).
