Funding, News and Announcements

The Office of Research Services is currently developing a new application form, that will help streamline the legal review process. The new form will be used for a variety of agreements that do not require an account opening. Examples may include:

• Research and/or Collaboration Agreements (no funds)
• Material Transfer Agreements
• Data Transfer Agreements
• Confidential Disclosure Agreements
• Software License Agreements
• Equipment Lease Agreements
• Space / Facility Access Agreements

Two versions of the form will be launched:

1. An application for stand-alone agreements that support general research activities.
2. An event form that is linked to a specific project.

The new form will replace the Material and Data Transfer Agreements that exist today in ROMEO. Researchers will still have access to MTA and DTA files that were already submitted. If an MTA or DTA is currently in the signing authority workflow, it will proceed as normal, even after the form is deactivated.

The new forms will be available on Monday August 21st. During that time, another announcement will be sent through the newsletter, and reference guides will be provided.
