Funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), BCDI 2030 aims foster the social and economic development of people, particularly women, from eligible Francophonie and Commonwealth countries, as well as other Small Island Developing States.

This program offers participants high-quality, inclusive education and training opportunities, including technical and professional training, to address inequality, bettering their lives and their communities. The program focuses on several key areas, including STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), artificial Intelligence, green and blue economies, climate action, health sciences, and governance and administration.

Under this current call, Canadian lead HEIs can apply for funding for scholarship projects to be implemented from 2023 to 2028, for a maximum financial contribution of $450,000 CAD.

Each university can submit one proposal for a scholarship project, in partnership with a higher education institution in one of the 26 eligible countries.

Because of the limit on applications, there will be an internal EOI process. The EOI must list the partner country and institution, and include a one-page summary of the proposed project. EOIs must be submitted to ird@dal.ca by May 29, 2023.
