Grain Farmers of Ontario

Grain Farmers of Ontario is pleased to announce that its annual Call for Research Letters of Intent (LOI) is now open. Researchers are invited to review the recently updated 2022 Research Priorities and to submit an LOI addressing those priorities using this year‘s LOI template. LOIs submitted should have start dates of April 2023 or later.

To be considered for funding, all project ideas must be submitted at the LOI stage. If new issues or opportunities arise after LOIs are due and warrant a rapid research response, please contact the funder and they will consider these on a case-by-case basis.

Ontario Grain Farming 101 video series

Looking for ways to broaden your knowledge on what it‘s like to be a grain farmer in Ontario and what goes into decision-making on the farm to provide more context to your research? Grain Farmers of Ontario has released Ontario Grain Farming 101, a compilation of short videos all about grain farming in Ontario. Learn more about the business aspects, the technology involved, and about the work it takes to grow grain on Ontario farms and market it to the world.
