The Arthritis Society is pleased to launch a special initiative to give early career investigators in arthritis research an opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding of the Arthritis Society’s peer review process. Investigators will receive an "inside look" at how research grants are reviewed to help structure their own grant proposals.
Selected early career investigators from across Canada will join virtual panel meetings or, when in-person meetings resume, will be provided funds to reimburse travel costs to Toronto to observe a panel meeting.
Eligible applicants are investigators in arthritis research, at eligible Canadian institutions, who are at the end of their post-doctoral fellowship training or are within the first few years of their academic appointment. Priority will be given to those who have yet to be awarded a grant from a Canadian granting agency.
A maximum of two investigators will be selected to observe each review panel. The Arthritis Society holds various operating grant and capacity development competitions over the course of the year.
Applications for these limited spots will be accepted via the self-nomination form and require department or institution head approval prior to submission. Please submit your application by Friday, June 25, 2021.
