CIHR has launched a rapid response funding opportunity to address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and its containment measures on mental health and substance use, including prolonged periods of social isolation, unexpected employment disruptions, increased vulnerability of older adults, school closures, financial distress, and changes to routine, among others. The maximum funding amount for each grant is $200,000 CAD over one year.

  • Understanding rapid system transformations
  • Developing innovative adaptations of services and/or delivery
  • Matching access to service with needs
