Knowledge Mobilization Workshop

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on January 6, 2020 in Events

What is research impact and why should you care? Do you want your research to have an impact on society and is this even your job? How do you craft knowledge mobilization/translation strategies in your grant applications and who is reviewing them?

David Phipps, Network Director for Research Impact Canada and Executive Director of Research and Innovation at York University, will be leading a hands-on session for researchers, students and research administrators to demonstrate the critical elements of research impact planning. Participants will implement these elements using a tool for impact planning from York University’s Knowledge Mobilization Unit which has helped York attract over $90M in engaged scholarship funding over 13 years. Come prepared to work and come with a project in mind so you can apply York’s tools to your Dalhousie projects.

Space is limited. Researchers interested in attending are asked to RSVP to michele.charlton@dal.ca by January 21.
